How can you make your site visible and effective?

How can you make your site more visible?

If you're a therapist, naturopath or wellness practitioner, you may have a website... but few, if any, new customers are coming through. You're not alone.

The good news is that it's not a question of luck or mysterious algorithms. It's often a lack of methodparticularly with regard to visibility (SEO)of contentanduser experience.

You don't have to be a developer. You don't need to publish every day. But you do need to understand a few essential principles if your site is to become a success. a real prospecting toolactive, even when you're not using it.

How to make your site visible

1. SEO: how to be found in Google when looking for a therapist

What is SEO?

SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is the set of techniques that enable your site to appear in Google when someone types in a search such as :
"sophrologist for anxiety in Montpellier,
"naturopath menopause in Lyon,
"sleep therapy Toulouseetc.

The idea: be visible on the words that your future patients really use.

In practical terms, what can be done?

  • Choose a main keyword for each page or article.
Example: if you're writing an article about stress, the keyword could be "reduce stress naturally".
  • Repeat this keyword several times in the text in titles, subtitles and content.
Don't force it, but make sure it appears at least 5 to 8 times in a 1000-word article.
  • Publish at least one blog post per month.
Google likes "live" sites. One article a month is enough to show that your site is active. This will gradually improve your position in the search results.
  • Use clear, simple titles :
👉 Bad: "My vision of energy treatment".
👉 Best: "How an energy treatment session can help you sleep better"
  • Create or obtain backlinks.
A backlink is a link to your site from another site.
Imagine your site being mentioned in a serious directory, a wellness blog or a press article. Google sees this as a "recommendation". The more good backlinks you have, the higher your site will climb in the results. How do you get them?
    • Sign up for serious specialist directories (e.g: Medoucine, directory-therapists...)
    • Offer a guest article to a wellness blog (you write a text, they publish it with a link to you).
    • Or ask a blogger friend to link to your site

SEO summary: 1 page = 1 well-chosen keyword, quality content and a few links pointing to you.

2. Write useful, clear and reassuring content

Visitors to your site aren't looking for a "technique", they're looking for a "solution". solution to their problem. If your site only talks about your method, without linking it to the reader's needs, it's missing the point.

Example: don't just say "I'm an RNCP-certified sophrologist and I use the Caycedo method",
also say:
"Do you have trouble falling asleep or wake up tired? I'll help you get back to a deep, restful sleep using simple, tailored breathing exercises."

Add :

  • A smiling, professional photo of you
  • From verifiable testimonies (with first name and type of problem if possible)
  • A a brief but human presentation why you do this job, what's important to you

And above all : avoid large, compact texts. Keep your paragraphs short, airy and easy to read. Your visitors often read on the phone.

3. User experience (UX): ensuring that visitors find what they are looking for... effortlessly

Even if you have good content, if your site is badly organised, you risk losing the visitor in a matter of seconds.

Here are the key points to bear in mind:

  • A simple menu Home - About - Services - Rates - Contact
  • An appointment button visible from the first page
  • Pages that load quicklyespecially on the phone
  • Up-to-date information (prices, opening times, location, etc.)

Tip: Ask someone you know to visit your site and make an appointment without help. If he or she hesitates, it's because you need to simplify.

4. An active site = a visible site

Google values sites that live.
This does not mean publishing every day, but publishing regularlyat least one article per month.

These items must :

  • Answer a frequently asked question (e.g. "How can I relieve digestive problems naturally?")
  • Use a precise keyword repeated 6 to 8 times depending on the length
  • At least 800 to 1200 words long
  • Contain clear paragraphs, sub-headings and concrete examples

You can also reuse these articles in your newsletter or on your social networks.

Tip: Prepare a list of 6 to 12 topics once a year and write one article a month. This creates a habit... and great visibility.

5. A website isn't "done once and for all".

Many therapists think that creating a website is enough. But a good website is scalable.
It grows with your business.

If you add a speciality, change your opening times, or move to a new town or address, please update it.

The more lively, clear and well-organised your site is, the more Google will show it... and the more confidence your future patients will have.

Conclusion

You don't need to be a computer expert.
But you must understand the role of your site it must not just "present", it must attract, reassure and convert.

Thanks to a good SEO strategya clear content that speaks the truth, and a fluid navigationtransform your website into a a natural attraction. Even if you only touch it once a month.

A good website is like an office that's tidy, easy to access and welcoming. And even if you're not a "technician", you can have one that looks like you... and that brings you customers.
